This town is filled with creatives and we’re thrilled to give them a platform to educate, entertain, or simply share their knowledge and experiences with our community. Every other Wednesday from 6:30-8 p.m., we will host Workshop Wednesday, catered to creativity, gaming, crafts, or community building. 

Admission is just $5, and comes with: 

• A limited seat for the hour and a half Workshop 

• Open use of our game library for the day. You can come early or play after the workshop. 

You bring the curiosity and we’ll provide the possibilities! 

Draw Hideous Abominations

Join Seth Wolfshorndl for our Workshop Wednesday: Draw Hideous Abominations. Hideous Abominations is a tile-laying game where each player is building their own creepy creature out of spare monster part tiles.

For this workshop, we will start with a quick demo/playthrough of the game, and then spend the rest of the time creating our own tiles, using a loose template so they fit together. At the end of the session, we will try to assemble our parts into the most hideous creature possible! Drawing supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your own favorites!

In addition to being an avid gamer and Village Meeple regular, local illustrator and educator Seth Wolfshorndl has presented workshops at several area comic/game conventions.  He runs the monthly Joplin Sketch Night and is also the sponsor of the Joplin High School Cartoonist Club, where he teaches teenagers how to tell stories through images.
