What is a Board Game Cafe?

A Board Game Cafe is a unique place where you can play a wide selection of board games while enjoying some food and drinks. Patrons can gather with friends and family and have a low-key evening of fun.

How does this whole thing work?

When you get to Village Meeple Board Game Cafe, there is a $5/person admission fee (2 years old and younger are FREE). This gives you all-day access to play any games in our Board Game Library.

We have snacks. Take a trip to our Candyland, where you choose your own candy of your heart’s desire, mixing and matching as you go. We also have drinks including bottled water, soda, sparkling water, and tea. For our adult crowd, we also have beer, seltzers, and wine available for purchase.

Have a seat at one of our many tables and crack open a game. Not sure what to play? Need some help getting started? One of our Gamer Guides would be happy to help you, or you can give our Wheel of Suggestions a spin!

When you are done with a game, please put it onto the Return Cart so the Gamer Guides can clean and store it properly. Feel free to grab another game and start all over again.

Find a game you love? Check out our retail shop to pick up your own copy to take home. Our retail shop also houses many handmade goods from various small businesses, including Geek Ethos and Crow and Shay, to satisfy your board game accessory and geekery needs.

Is there an age requirement to come in?

NOPE! We are a family-run business, so you’ll likely see our kids hanging out there as well. We have board games, snacks, and drinks for all ages.

We also have high chairs and a changing table in our bathrooms.

We have something for literally all ages.

Can I leave and come back?

Of course! Your $5 admission is good for all day. We will stamp your hand and you can come and go as you please.

Do you sell board games?

Yep! We sure do! If we don’t stock it, we would be happy to order it. If you don’t want to wait, we can point you towards one of the other great board game stores in the area.

Can I bring in outside food or drink?

In order to maintain our licenses, we keep the food and drink inside Village Meeple to our own offerings. Please leave your outside food and drink in the car. We do make exceptions for our party room rentals.

Can I bring in my own board games?

Sure! You do you! As you are using our tables, we do ask that you still pay the $5/person admission fee.

Do you take reservations?

Absolutely! We have a private party rooms available to reserve, as well as reserving the entire cafe. Check out our Events Page for more options to choose the best adventure for you!

Do you have someone to teach me how to play?

We have Gamer Guides to help assist you in your board game journey. We can help with recommendations, tips, tricks, and full tutorials (when able). We are working on including QR codes on most games so you can watch a “How to” video.

We also host “We Teach Wednesdays” where our Gamer Guides teach you a different game each week!
