Come Play “Blood on the Clocktower”
Join Guest Gamer Guide Matt as he takes you through the thrilling social deduction game Blood on the Clocktower!
In the quiet village of Ravenswood Bluff, a demon walks amongst you...
During a hellish thunderstorm, on the stroke of midnight, there echoes a bone-chilling scream. The townsfolk rush to investigate and find the town storyteller murdered, their body impaled on the hands of the clocktower, blood dripping onto the cobblestones below. A Demon is on the loose, murdering by night and disguised in human form by day. Some have scraps of information. Others have abilities that fight the evil or protect the innocent. But the Demon and its evil minions are spreading lies to confuse and breed suspicion. Will the good townsfolk put the puzzle together in time to execute the true demon and save themselves? Or will evil overrun this once peaceful village?
Blood on the Clocktower is a bluffing game enjoyed by 5 to 20 players on opposing teams of Good and Evil, overseen by a Storyteller player who conducts the action and makes crucial decisions. The goal of the game is to successfully deduce and execute the demons before they outnumber the townfolk.
During a 'day' phase players socialize openly and whisper privately to trade knowledge or spread lies, culminating in a player's execution if a majority suspects them of being Evil. Of a 'night' time, players close their eyes and are woken one at a time by the Storyteller to gather information, spread mischief, or kill.
The Storyteller uses the game's intricate playing pieces to guide each game, leaving others free to play without a table or board. Players stay in the thick of the action to the very end even if their characters are killed, haunting Ravenswood Bluff as ghosts trying to win from beyond the grave.
If you arrive late to a game, you can enter after it's started as a powerful Traveller character with unusual talents and questionable allegiances. Each character comes with their own special ability and no two players in a game are ever the same character.
Blood on the Clocktower is free with your paid admission.

WE TEACH WEDNESDAY: HATS

If you participate in the We Teach event, you also can purchase the game at our shop for a 20% discount!
The Game
You have an invitation at 5 p.m. at the Mad Hatter’s garden. The table is ready, the cookies taste like buttery heaven, and the tea is strong and spicy. "More sugar?" asks the Mad Hatter, giving you a bizarre look.
"Yes, plea..."
"Time's up!" he yells, interrupting you. Sugar, cookies, and millions of hats fly everywhere. Tea spills all over the tablecloth as he proceeds with a huge smile on his face. "It's time to play a game."
•••
In Hats, two to four players compete to acquire the most outstanding hats by exchanging cards in hand with cards on the tea table board. Each card exchange influences how each hat is scored. Naturally, at the end of the game, the player with the highest score will be declared the maddest!
To play, everyone draws nine cards. You take your turn by performing one of the following two actions:
Exchange hats — Play a single card from your hand face up and exchange it with one of the same type (color) from the tea table board or exchange it for a card of any type but of a lower value. Add the card exchanged from the tea table board to your collection by placing it face up in front of you.
Create a black hat — Play a single card face down in front of you to add it to your collection as a black hat. Each black hat in a player's collection at game's end is worth 1 point.
Optional action: At any time during your turn, you may discard a single card of your choice to draw a new one from the draw deck. In a four-player game, players will exchange cards with their teammates.
END GAME SCORING
Hat Collection: Players earn points for the hat cards in their collection based on the position of the matching type on the tea table board. If two or more hat cards on the tea table board are of the same type, find the hat card of that type with the lowest position on the tea table board and keep it face up, while turning all other cards of that type face down.
Favorite Hat: Each player reveals the final card in their hand as their "favorite hat" type. Players gain points equal to the sum of all cards in their collection that match the type of their "favorite hat" minus the value of the final card in their hand.
The Last Cookie: There is only one cookie left at the table. Players compete for the cookie by having the most different types of hat cards in their collection. Black hats count as a type. During the game, pass the cookie to the player who has the most different types of hat cards. The chocolate chip cookie is worth five points at the end of the game.

If you participate in the We Teach event, you also can purchase the game at our shop for a 20% discount!
The Game
Railroad Tiles, a sequel to the roll-and-write series Railroad Ink, is a quick-playing tile placement game in which you pick tiles and place routes to build an interconnected community.
The game is played over eight rounds. You start each round by drafting your tiles from the sets available in the common pool, then you place your routes in front of you, trying to make as many connections as possible; be careful not to lock yourself in with choices that are too constraining. Each round, you can also place cars, trains, or travelers to populate the tiny little landscape you're creating - as long as you have free space on your tiles. The available actions change from round to round, so you need to prepare in advance!
The more pieces of the same kind each new placement connects to, the more points you earn. You can also score bonus points at game's end for placing tiles in a large rectangle without gaps and for creating sets of three adjacent city tiles.

WE TEACH WEDNESDAY: LINKO
Come join Gamer Guide Jess as she demos LINKO!
Our We Teach Wednesdays are a great chance to learn a new game without the pesky rule book reading. It’s also a great opportunity to meet new people or add to your gamer group.
If you participate in the We Teach event, you also can purchase the game at our shop for a 20% discount!
The Game
In Linko, you take turns playing number cards, and the more cards of the same number you play, the better as cards score points at the end of the game. If someone else plays the same amount of cards with a higher number, however, your cards get stolen! Stealing cards can be good, but if you can't use them later, and end the game with cards in hand, they'll cost you points.
As soon as the deck runs out of cards or a player has no cards in hand, the game ends immediately. Each player scores one point for each card on the table in front of him, then loses one point for each card in hand. Whoever has the highest score wins. If players wish, they can play multiple rounds and sum their scores over the rounds to determine a winner.

If you participate in the We Teach event, you also can purchase the game at our shop for a 20% discount!
The Game
In this bluffing game, players have hidden information about which casinos are corrupt. Take turns playing money tiles (two 2’s, two 4’s, one 5, one six, one seven) into the different casinos.
When scoring a corrupt casino, the highest bidder wins the jackpot (and everyone else gets nothing). In a non-corrupt casino, whoever has the most points there LOSES, and everyone else gets points equal to their bid.
Players can’t place more than two tokens at a casino, and can’t place their highest token at the casino they know is corrupt.
20 unique casino power cards change up the formula every game. Take a gamble to win big!

Speed Gaming: Find Friendship (and maybe… Love)
We are “gamifying” Speed Dating to present to you SPEED GAMING!
Are you looking for connection? Maybe it’s friendship? Maybe it’s love? We are hoping to set you up with a low-stakes, low-pressure event to give you that shot!
Details
Participants will have the opportunity to play simple 2-player games with another person, giving you the chance to talk, but with a game to focus on as well, to keep those awkward starter conversations to a minimum.
When you get to Village Meeple on Monday, July 7, a little before 6:30 (because that’s go time!), we will give you a sheet for you to take notes on and a sheet for you to communicate with us your matched interest. At this event, please do not exchange contact information at the tables. To ensure everyone feels comfortable and safe, our staff will pass along contact information to individuals who both indicated matched interest.
We also will be giving you name tags. In addition to your name and preferred pronouns, the name tag will feature a colored sticker dot. This will indicate your interests and what you are looking for in potential matches. Romantic interest choices also assume they are looking for friendship too.

WE TEACH WEDNESDAY: ODDLAND/MONEY
Come join Gamer Guide Jess as she demos ODDLAND and MONEY!
Our We Teach Wednesdays are a great chance to learn a new game without the pesky rule book reading. It’s also a great opportunity to meet new people or add to your gamer group.
If you participate in the We Teach event, you also can purchase the game at our shop for a 20% discount!
The Games
ODDLAND
Eureka! The fascinating flora and fauna on this strange island are unlike any you’ve ever seen! How… odd!
As an intrepid investigator of all things idiosyncratic, your job is to explore the island and document these fantastic creatures. On your turn, explore by placing a terrain card somewhere on the island (with the ability to cover up previous terrain!).
Then, place one of your seven flora or fauna tokens on the card you’ve just played. These tokens score based on their surroundings–for example, the pigehorse scores better adjacent to a longer coastline.
MONEY
Your goal in Money! is to trade currencies with the bank and other players so that you end up with more value than anyone else.
Each player starts with a hand of six cards from a deck that contains cards in seven currencies ranging in value from 20-60, along with coins worth 10. Four cards from the deck are placed face up to its left and to its right.
In a round, each player chooses a bid of one or more cards from their hand, then everyone reveals their bid simultaneously. Whoever bid the highest sum takes the four cards to the left or right of the deck or another player's bid, adds these cards to their hand, then places their bid next to the deck or in front of the player whose bid they took. (Alternatively, the player can return their bid to hand.) Then the next player with the highest bid resolves their bid similarly. Once all players have resolved their bids, draw cards from the deck to refill the lots to the left and right of the deck to four cards. When the deck runs out, play one final round, then score your cards in hand.
If you have 200 or more in a single currency, score that many points. If you have less than 200 in a currency, subtract 100 from that amount but don't go below 0. If you have all three 20s or 30s in a currency, score 100 points in addition to whatever the currency itself scores for you. Sum these amounts, along with whatever coins you have in hand. Whoever has the highest score wins.
