Come Play “Blood on the Clocktower”
Join Guest Gamer Guide Matt as he takes you through the thrilling social deduction game Blood on the Clocktower!
In the quiet village of Ravenswood Bluff, a demon walks amongst you...
During a hellish thunderstorm, on the stroke of midnight, there echoes a bone-chilling scream. The townsfolk rush to investigate and find the town storyteller murdered, their body impaled on the hands of the clocktower, blood dripping onto the cobblestones below. A Demon is on the loose, murdering by night and disguised in human form by day. Some have scraps of information. Others have abilities that fight the evil or protect the innocent. But the Demon and its evil minions are spreading lies to confuse and breed suspicion. Will the good townsfolk put the puzzle together in time to execute the true demon and save themselves? Or will evil overrun this once peaceful village?
Blood on the Clocktower is a bluffing game enjoyed by 5 to 20 players on opposing teams of Good and Evil, overseen by a Storyteller player who conducts the action and makes crucial decisions. The goal of the game is to successfully deduce and execute the demons before they outnumber the townfolk.
During a 'day' phase players socialize openly and whisper privately to trade knowledge or spread lies, culminating in a player's execution if a majority suspects them of being Evil. Of a 'night' time, players close their eyes and are woken one at a time by the Storyteller to gather information, spread mischief, or kill.
The Storyteller uses the game's intricate playing pieces to guide each game, leaving others free to play without a table or board. Players stay in the thick of the action to the very end even if their characters are killed, haunting Ravenswood Bluff as ghosts trying to win from beyond the grave.
If you arrive late to a game, you can enter after it's started as a powerful Traveller character with unusual talents and questionable allegiances. Each character comes with their own special ability and no two players in a game are ever the same character.
Blood on the Clocktower is free with your paid admission.

WE TEACH WEDNESDAY: VIVO
Come join Gamer Guide Jess as she demos VIVO!
Our We Teach Wednesdays are a great chance to learn a new game without the pesky rule book reading. It’s also a great opportunity to meet new people or add to your gamer group.
If you participate in the We Teach event, you also can purchase the game at our shop for a 20% discount!
The Game
In Vivo, each round starts by revealing a harmony type (Solo, Duet, Trio, Quartet). The harmony determines how many suits must be played in the trick—not being able to is considered playing “off-harmony,” making that player ineligible for points.
At the end of the trick, the player who played the highest on-harmony card scores two points, and the lowest on-harmony card scores for the value of that card (those bass notes are so important!).

DEMO: DOOMLINGS
Join Gamer Guide Saunsu as she demos DOOMLINGS at Village Meeple.
The Game
Somewhere on a doomed and distant planet, life has emerged, competing for supremacy until the world’s inevitable destruction. The object of the game is to score the most points by the time the world ends. Score points by playing Traits for your Doomlings’ species, making them more adaptable, resilient, and mischievous. As your Doomlings assert their dominance, Catastrophes will befall the planet, causing setbacks for each competing species. When the third Catastrophe inevitably strikes, the world ends, and the Doomlings with the strongest set of traits gets to look the Apocalypse in the eye and declare…“I scored the most points!”
Throughout the game, players draw Trait cards from a community pile, and then play them for points. Traits can also have special abilities and bonuses, allowing players to build a wide range of winning combinations. The game is played in rounds, using Age cards, which have different rules that players must follow. But be warned, hidden in the Ages are Catastrophes: special rounds with adverse effects that force players to adapt their strategy.
Doomlings adds a fun twist to hand management, by introducing the “Gene Pool” mechanic. Your Gene Pool is your hand size: it is unique to you, and it can increase or decrease through special Traits, or even Catastrophes. Doomlings includes 6 colorful Gene Pool counter cards, elegantly tracking how many cards you should hold at the end of your turn. There are opportunities to increase your Gene Pool (hand size), which can give your species a leg up by providing a larger pool of Traits to select from each turn.
A lightweight card game for 2-6 players, Doomlings can be played casually amongst friends, or competitively by the gaming enthusiast family. Because there are no duplicate cards, and Age cards are chosen randomly, no two games are ever the same. While the game itself can be learned in 5 minutes or less, don’t be fooled: with 100+ unique Traits—in Red, Blue, Green, Purple and Colorless—and rare, powerful Dominant Traits, there are countless combinations of play to be discovered.
A typical game takes between 20-45 minutes, depending on the number of players and sequence of events. Advanced-play expansion packs are also available, including a Hidden Objective expansion for a fun twist to the game. Doomlings requires no dice or additional pieces, just a jolly embrace of the inevitable end of the world!

DEMO: FOUNTAINS
Join Gamer Guide Saunsu as she demos FOUNTAINS at Village Meeple.
The Game
Welcome to the elegant city of Florimelle, where a grand beautification effort has begun. In Fountains, you’ll become a master Fountaineer tasked with transforming Florimelle’s gardens and plazas by creating the most magnificent Fountain the world has ever seen!
Fountains is a take-and-make game in which each player starts with a round fountain that features a spout and room for four features.
On a turn, move one of the tokens 1-3 spaces clockwise around the central board, skipping occupied spaces, to land on an empty space. You then take the top tile next to this token and add it to your board. You can expand out or up or both, but you want to ensure that you have a spout at your highest level and water flowing through all of your lower levels or else you'll have dead zones that won't score. If you stop next to the tiny oval features instead of a tile stack, choose one of these features and add it to an empty space in your fountain.
When someone lands on the green, blue, or white space with the matching colored token, everyone scores for the linked item: lilypads, separate pools linked by constant water flow, and fish. (Fish come in three types, and the player who scores fish chooses which color scores.) For each item, you score 1, 2, 3, etc. points if the item is on the first, second, third, etc. level.
When a player hits a point threshold, players then score for all three colors once again, as well as endgame bonuses such as 2 points per coin icon and 4 points for a set of fish in the three colors.

DEMO: SHALLOW SEA
Join Gamer Guide Saunsu as she demos SHALLOW SEA at Village Meeple.
The Game
In Shallow Sea, a multi-layered puzzle board game inspired by the breathtaking beauty of the Great Barrier Reef, players create their own vivid ocean landscapes by strategically arranging an array of marine life, colorful fish, and corals. Unlike typical puzzle games in which pieces merely stack up, the elements in Shallow Sea can activate, deactivate, and even move, creating exciting combos and thought-provoking dilemmas that keep you on your toes.
On your turn, choose tiles showing fish, coral, or sea life, and place them on an empty space on your board. When fish surround a coral of the same color, you flip over the completed coral, which becomes a home for fish. Choose which fish will inhabit the coral, keeping the puzzle and ecosystem cards in mind. Use seashells to lure fish and move them, ideally completing multiple coral at once if you build them strategically.
Invite other creatures to enrich your ocean, trying to match the distinct scoring requirements of the ecosystem cards in order to score the most points.

Come join Gamer Guide Jess as she demos I MADE YOU A MIXTAPE!
Our We Teach Wednesdays are a great chance to learn a new game without the pesky rule book reading. It’s also a great opportunity to meet new people or add to your gamer group.
If you participate in the We Teach event, you also can purchase the game at our shop for a 20% discount!
The Game
It’s the early 90s. Baggy jeans and flannel shirts reign supreme, and the unmistakable sound of dial-up internet fills the air. Dan DiLisio, the coolest kid in your neighborhood, is heading off to University, and is letting you and your school friends raid his beloved music collection before he goes.
In return he’s asked you to make him a mixtape for his road trip up to college. To make things more interesting he's said that the kid who makes the best tape will win his Quantum Leap poster signed by Scott Bakula.
Man, you really want that poster…
“I Made You a Mixtape” is a I-split-you-choose card game where you will be competing with the other players to make the best compilation possible out of an album collection. Your tape will be judged on how well it’s themed, how the tracks flow with each other, and the balance of lengths between side A and side B.

DEMO: Tea Witches
Join Gamer Guide Saunsu as she demos TEA WITCHES at Village Meeple!
The Game
This year's Teaquinox Faire is heating up, and as a contestant, you have four days to prove to the world that your kettle has the mettle to win!
In Tea Witches, tea vendors from across the land must summon and serve lines of witches in order to gain their loyalty, all while sending out magical TeaPups to entice Celebri-Teas and find ways to further enhance their prestige. By growing their loyal fan base, upgrading their hut to maximize service, and collecting all the right tips and toppings they can prove that their tea reigns supreme.
The game lasts four rounds, each representing one day of the Teaquinox Faire. Each day has two phases. In the summoning phase, players simultaneously draw a crowd of witches to their tea hut, being mindful not to push their luck too far as any identical witches will cause a hex, which results in witches leaving the queue.
In the service phase, players take turns sending their adorable TeaPups to various Bootiques in the city to gather toppings and collect tea from the rotating crystal fountain in order to serve witches waiting at their hut. Additionally, TeaPups can help players collect powerful upgrades, attract Celebri-teas, and brew up Special-Teas with bonus abilities. Clever TeaPup placement can also help you complete to-go orders for witches out and about in the city center.
Completing tea orders, attracting celebrities, earning money, and upgrading your tea hut will earn players prestige, and at the end of the fourth day, the player with the most prestige will be declared the greatest tea witch of the Teaquinox Faire!

A Keynote Killer: A Witchcraft Convention Murder Mystery
At the annual witch convention, held for the first time at a mid-priced hotel and convention center instead of the traditional overpriced East Coast bed and breakfast (with those witches on a budget in mind), the keynote speaker - author Morgana Willows - is found murdered in the convention center, but it quickly becomes obvious her body has been moved.
The witches, warlocks, and those in attendance must work together with the clues available to ensnare the culprit.
Join us at Village Meeple for a one-of-a-kind experience. Put on your witchy attire and your problem-solving brain to get down to the bottom of this Murder Mystery.
Tickets are just $20/person. The Witchcraft Convention will be held in the Mezzanine (second floor) of Village Meeple. While every effort will be made to accommodate all guests, accessibility issues may prohibit full participation.
To reserve your tickets, swing by the cafe, call 417-324-4563, or click here.

The Game
Players step into the boots of Park Rangers whose expertise in botanical alchemy transforms the wilderness into a sanctuary for healing. With the roll of the dice, players gather extracts from the park's flora, concocting potent potions to treat the ailments of animals from different biomes. Successfully healing animals and performing experiments earns points, directly reflecting your role in maintaining the park's well-being. Aim for animals in similar habitats to unlock bonus points, reflecting the depth of your commitment to conservation — or take the path of experimenting to find new potions.
Parks & Potions plays over 5-6 rounds, each representing a day of work. The game is divided into phases in which players roll dice to discover flowers to extract, manage their inventories, and use potions to fulfill objectives and cure animals. Strategic potion mixing and objective completion are key to becoming the most renowned ranger.
The player with the most points at the end of the game is crowned as the guardian of nature!
