This town is filled with creatives and we’re thrilled to give them a platform to educate, entertain, or simply share their knowledge and experiences with our community. Every other Wednesday from 6:30-8 p.m., we will host Workshop Wednesday, catered to creativity, gaming, crafts, or community building.

Open use of our game library for the day. You can come early or play after the workshop.

The Basics of Magic
Have you ever looked at a Magic: The Gathering card and thought, “What on earth is happening here?” Then this workshop is for you!
Join us for a fun, beginner-friendly crash course in the world’s most popular trading card game. We’ll learn the basics, cast some spells, summon some creatures, and by the end you’ll know enough to confidently jump into your next game—and possibly develop an expensive cardboard habit.
Jenean has been collecting shiny cardboard and making questionable strategy decisions since 2009, starting with classic 60-card Magic before eventually falling in love with Commander. Her favorite part of the game is the community it creates; helping new players discover the fun, chaos, and occasional bunny-induced nonsense that keeps people coming back to the table.
