Death Quests: A workshop for playful end-of-life planning
Join death doula Cecily Robertson for an evening of morbidly curious conversations sparked by The Death Deck. With thought-provoking questions like: “How do you think you’ll die?” “Would you read your late spouse’s journals?” and “If you could haunt someone after death, who would it be and why?” we will tackle taboo topics with a sense of play. The goal is to gain a clearer idea of what you value in life so you can plan for your death with authenticity and creativity. After we shuffle through the cards, Cecily will provide some education on why end-of-life planning is so important, what your end-of-life plan might include, and how to approach death planning with a bit of play.
Cecily Robertson is a death doula with a gentle spirit and tireless heart. Her approach to end-of-life work is rooted in storytelling. She created The Last Chapter Deathcare to guide and support people as they explore, uncover, and move through life and death as a creative process. Cecily works to improve death literacy in our community by co-hosting the Springfield Death Café and local death contemplation workshops. She is NEDA-proficient, a graduate of Going with Grace, and serves people and pets in the greater Springfield, Missouri area. You can follow her @lastchapterdeathcare, visit her website lastchapterdeathcare.com, or read her musings about death and grief at cecilyrobertson.substack.com.
