The Keynote Killer: A Witchcraft Convention Murder Mystery
At the annual witch convention, held for the first time at a mid-priced hotel and convention center instead of the traditional overpriced East Coast bed and breakfast (with those witches on a budget in mind), the keynote speaker - author Morgana Willows - is found murdered in the convention center, stuffed into the lectern. It quickly becomes obvious her body has been moved. Hostesses Hester and Nestor have discovered her body and share the details with the attendees.
Thank you for purchasing The Keynote Killer: A Witchcraft Convention Murder Mystery!
This is an original murder mystery written by Sarah Hilton, and was originally hosted by Sarah and Jess Hamlet at Village Meeple Board Game Cafe in October 2025.
In this packet, you will find a summary of the plot, a script for two hosts for the opening of the murder mystery and a list of suggested props and clues to be given out throughout the game. You will also find individual character sheets for 10 characters, along with tips for the players.
This murder mystery can be played with as few as five people (including the hosts), but is best with 10 or more. If you need more than 10 players, please check out The Keynote Killer: Extended Edition, which has characters for up to 23 players.
We hope you enjoy The Keynote Killer!
